'That was embarrassing!' Jennifer Lawrence trips and falls as she climbs the steps to accept her Best Actress Oscar

Winning an Oscar for Best Actress is beyond doubt the biggest moment of any star's career.
But Jennifer Lawrence distracted somewhat from the honour by tripping up the stairs as she headed onto the stage to accept her Academy Award.
The 22-year-old star, who won for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, was seen momentarily hanging her head in her hands after her voluminous strapless Dior Haute Couture gown caused the mishap on the steps.
As she got back onto her feet, the star-studded audience gave the actress a standing ovation - much to the actress' embarrassment. 
Despite her initial blushes, Jennifer quickly laughed off the incident and began her stream of thank you.
At the Screen Actor's Guild Awards earlier this year, Jennifer's midnight blue Dior gown appeared to fall apart as she climbed the stairs. 

Then Dior explained that the dress was made in layers, with Jennifer simply hitching up the top layer to reveal her legs.
